Sam Greenlee's cult novel earned a small but loyal following. A congressman hoping to attract black voters makes political hay by pointing out that the C.I.A has no black agents. Bowing to pressure, the CIA admits a few black to their training program, but makes the process difficult enough to winnow out all the black students except Dan Freeman, a strong, intelligent man. However, rather than give him field assignments, he is put in charge of the copy machines and gives tours to visitors. After two, he moves back to Chicago to work in the community, at least that's what he tells his superiors.but,Freeman used his time at the CIA collecting information on how to launch a revolution. In the Windy City, he recruits an army of multi racial radicals including street gangs. With their help, he launches a revolt to bring the white-male dominated power structure to its knees
